Rate My Professor Reviews: The Doctor of Philosophy
/This guy has a poster of Rasputin on his wall. Do you need to know anything else? Rasputin. I’m a philosophy major and I can tell you that not a single one of the other profs even has a poster in their office. Maybe, like a Monet or something but definitely not a poster of Rasputin. Nice guy but you’re not going to learn much about actual philosophy imo tbh.

Wonderful professor. I felt like he really cared about his students. The beard situation is a little out of control? Like four feet long? You think I’m joking but it is crazy long. I heard he taught a whole class with an olive lodged in there last Fall. Fair grader.

I thought that when State went remote all the classes were supposed to be pass fail but he is still grading my performance. I filled out a form and even emailed the associate dean but sure enough the last assignment on Russian mystics came back with a B minus. Really funny sometimes and I am enjoying the class.

Does anybody else think it’s strange that he never did marry? I don’t care at all if you are gay or whatever. Really I don’t. But to never marry seems like there’s something off with you. He cancelled class a lot, though, which was rad.

Great professor. Really knows his stuff and he’s been around forever but I still felt whenever we met he really, really saw me.

I made a joke about Road House and he just looked at me like he had never seen that movie in his entire life. I said “pain don’t hurt” and he got the strangest look on his face and gave me one of those handouts from student services about depression. He was a fair grader.

Said something pretty weird to me in a conference once, like he could see through me or something like that. He didn’t do anything inappropriate exactly but it was a weird thing to say. I don’t even know if it was a compliment or he was like giving me a doctor of philosophy insult or something. I heard he gives almost everybody a B.

He’s kind of out of it, like not very in tune with students or pop culture or anything. It was kind of funny sometimes, like he didn’t know who Channing Tatum was or what the Fast and the Furious movies were. I learned a lot about philosophy I guess.
